This handmade anime sword is inspired by the legendary Kusanagi no Tsurugi, a mythical blade with deep ties to Japanese history and mythology. The sword Kusunagi no Tsurugi is said to have been wielded by the god Susanoo during the battle against the mighty Yamata no Orochi, the headed serpent with eight heads and eight tails, in Izumo Province. The sword’s name, meaning "Grass Cutting Sword," was derived from its power to cut through the vast wilderness and even the formidable creature's monstrous form.
As an integral part of the imperial regalia of Japan, this blade, along with the Yasakani no Magatama and the Mirror, was said to be a divine artifact passed down through generations. The sword was later passed to Prince Yamato Takeru, who used it during his hunting expeditions and battles, including the legendary Battle of Dan and the famous Dan no Ura. The gathering clouds of destiny surrounded these events, with the sword playing a crucial role in Japanese mythology and the protection of the land.

We offer three types of engraving services, and customers can discuss their design with customer service. Additionally, the blade can also be customized, including changes to the craftsmanship of the Yokote, Bo Hi, and Kissaki.
