DETAILS

Description:
SL711 is a high-end replica of the katana in movie "Kill Bill". This katana is intricately forged in the shihozume lamination structure. The edge is made of 1095 high carbon steel which has high hardness while the sides are made of folded steel which has high flexibility and has a beautiful grain pattern or hada. Iron is used to form the softer core of the blade. The shihozume lamination is a labor-intensive forging technique that requires high skill level on the part of the swordsmith. Imperfect fusion or welding of the different steel types on the blade can cause the blade to delaminate or split.

This katana is differentially hardened and has a visible hamon. The area between hamon and mune is hazuya polished, so it looks differently. The tsuba is made of iron, fuchi, kashira and menukis are made of copper with bamboo pattern. The tsuka is made of hardwood, wrapped with genuine rayskin and synthetic silk ito. The saya is made of hardwood.

The SL711 high-end Japanese sword is a masterful reproduction of the iconic katana blade from the movie 'Kill Bill,' famously wielded by Uma Thurman and symbolic of the artistry depicted in the story. Forged with a visible hamon line, the blade's cutting edge exemplifies the meticulous craftsmanship of traditional Japanese sword-making techniques. This high-quality katana features a well-defined kissaki tip, highlighting its precision and aesthetic. Fans of martial arts and collectors alike will appreciate the attention to detail that mirrors the legendary style seen in Bill (played by David Carradine) and the film's broader homage to classic samurai tradition.

Is this Kill Bill sword a replica or a real functional katana?
This is a fully functional, hand-forged Kill Bill katana crafted using traditional techniques. Unlike cheap movie sword replicas, this Anniversary Edition features clay tempered steel, making it a real weapon, not just a display piece.
Who is the swordsmith behind the Kill Bill sword?
In the movie, the Kill Bill sword maker is Hattori Hanzo, a legendary figure who comes out of retirement to forge a katana for Beatrix Kiddo. This real-life version pays homage to the iconic Hattori Hanzo sword from Kill Bill.
What makes this Kill Bill katana different from other swords from Kill Bill?
This Anniversary Edition Kill Bill sword is made with clay tempered high carbon steel, featuring a real hamon line, full tang construction, and exceptional balance. It’s not just a Kill Bill replica sword, but a high-end collectible for serious katana lovers.
Is this the same sword Beatrix Kiddo used in the movie?
Yes, this sword is a faithful replica of the Bride Sword from Kill Bill, also known as the Beatrix Kiddo sword. Its design, fittings, and blade curve are all modeled after the katana Hattori Hanzo made in Kill Bill.
What is the Hattori Hanzo sword price for this edition?
The price reflects the sword’s craftsmanship and materials. As a hand-forged Hanzo samurai sword with clay tempering and collector-level details, it is more expensive than typical Kill Bill replica swords, but far superior in quality.
What is special about the clay tempered blade on this katana?
The clay tempered process used on this Kill Bill katana creates a hardened edge and a softer spine, giving the sword excellent cutting power and flexibility. This is the same traditional method once used by real samurai swordsmiths and honors the craftsmanship of the fictional Kill Bill sword maker.

Blade Engraving Techniques – We Support Various Engraving Methods

Blade Engraving Options & Pricing

We offer three types of engraving available on the blade, each providing a unique visual effect. The engraving options are as follows:

  • Laser engraving: A precise, high-tech method that uses a laser to etch intricate patterns or text onto the blade, offering detailed results at an affordable price.
  • Etching engraving: A traditional process using chemical solutions to create deep, textured designs on the blade’s surface, with a distinct artistic finish. This method is priced higher due to its intricate nature.
  • 3D relief engraving: This technique creates raised, three-dimensional designs on the blade, adding depth and sculptural beauty. It is the most premium option and comes with a higher price tag.

Each engraving method varies in price depending on its complexity. This product is inspired by anime and designed as a katana, but it is not authorized or endorsed by any anime or its copyright holders. We are not affiliated with the copyright owners of any anime.
